Getting Back to Normal

Since this is my first post to this blog or any blog for that matter,I will start with a summary of last weeks events. Between having family in town for the Quarles family reunion, and the family reunion itself, there has not been much time to relax. The family reunion was great. Unfortunately the finals of the horse shoe tournament were rained out. So it looks like Steve and Phil will hold the title for two more years. This year I had my best performance in the tournament. I wish I had some pictures, but they are still on Calista's camera. She got some nice action shots. My teammate was my brother-in-law Clint, who is a pretty good shoe thrower. He kept us in the running. Things look good for some new names to appear on the trophy in two years. I am not saying it will be my name, but there were some new participants this year that looked very promising.

Well now that everyone has gone home, things should be returning to normal. I do not exactly know what normal is, but the pace at home will be a little slower. There will only be 2 kids tearing up the place instead of 4. It was great to visit with my mother, sister, and brother-in-law. Unfortunately my dad was not able to make it for a visit. I really missed getting to visit with him. That pretty much covers the week. Next time I will try to put in some pictures.
