Happy Birthday Bennett!

Has it been five years already! You have always been such a happy little boy, our snuggle bug. You are constantly thinking and asking question about life, the universe, and everything. We hope you have a wonderful answer fill day!

Happy Birthday Dante!

Seven years! It seems such a short time ago that we brought you home from the hospital. You were such a serious little guy. So serious with those big eyes that seemed to see so much. You have kept us on our toes. You always have a story to tell. We love you! Have a wonderful Birthday!

Happy Birthday Crispin!

At one year, you are the busiest little boy that we have ever seen. You are always getting into something. You do not even need help from your brothers. You have been a little angel from day one. We wish you a very happy birthday!

2 Week Doctor Visit

It is hard to believe that Crispin has been part of our family now for two weeks. With this milestone comes a trip to the pediatrician for a check up. Here are the results:

Weight: 9 lb. 2 oz.
Length: 21.8 in.

Welcome Crispin Lee De Vries

This post is a little late in coming, but what else can you expect. Crispin came into the world on 19 March 2009 at 14:36 (4:36 pm for you non military types). He weighed 8 lbs. 4.2 oz. and was 20 in. long. Mommy and baby are doing well and the whole house is adjusting to Crispin's schedule. Dante and Bennett love being big brothers. Dante will hold him any chance that he gets. They love to help Mommy and will run and get anything. They even throw away the dirty diapers.

Getting Ready for Baby

It is almost time! We are really looking forward to the new arrival. We have been lucky enough to have the boys bedroom and the baby's room painted. I just have a few things to finish and the baby's room will be decorated! I am very excited. I will post pictures when it is done. We haven't settled on a name yet but we have narrowed it down a bit. We probably won't decide until he gets here. I am sure we will keep you posted.

Dino-rific!!

Since Daddy had the day off from work, we joined some friends at The Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. We had a great time walking around the museum. Daddy especially like playing with the erosion table. Mommy enjoyed being together as a family. Bennett liked seeing all the dinosaurs. His favorite one was wearing pajamas. Dante, our budding photographer, enjoyed taking pictures of EVERYTHING!! All of the pictures provided by Dante.

It's a Boy!

We found out on Monday that we will be adding another little boy to our family in March. Dante and Bennett are very excited to have a baby in the house. They keep asking when the baby will come. They just can't wait and want him to be here tomorrow. We don't have any names picked out yet and so far can't seem to agree on any. The boys want to call him "Stinky Poo Head" but I shot that down pretty quick. We look forward to this new arrival.

Halloween

Late as usual I know. Any way here are a few pictures from Halloween. I forgot to have someone take a picture of me with my camera. Terrible I know. Dante and Bennett had a great time. Justin was a trouper for wearing 30lbs of chain mail. (I always knew he was a knight in shining armor!)

The Zoo (Finally)

On Thursday October 2nd we took the kids to the zoo, and I am finally taking the time to post about it. We started out in the play ground and the boys would have been happy to spend the whole day there. They loved it.





We were there all day. We had a picnic lunch and saw the elephant show. The boys did not want to come home. Dante was our guide for the day. They hand out maps when you come and he took charge of ours. He made sure that we saw every animal in the zoo and kept us from getting lost.


He is such a smart kid. He knew where we were, where we were going, and where we had been. I have a hard time keeping up with him. I think the favorite animal was the tiger. He was so big. The elephant was voted the biggest and the camel the stinkiest. It was a great day.
